Stanton County Fair
| Entries |
• All exhibits must be from Stanton County, unless otherwise specified.
• All entries will be made in strict compliance therewith. Parties
therefore must be careful to have stock and articles entered correctly.
• All animals must be exhibited at such time and place as the
superintendent of the class may direct, and in accordance with the
official program.
• No articles entered for exhibition will be allowed to be removed from
the grounds before 7 p.m. the last day of the fair, with the privilege of
holding exhibits and livestock over one day.
• All exhibits entered at exhibitor’s risk, but the Fair Board will do all it
can to protect and care for exhibits, but in no case will it be responsible
for any loss or damage that may occur.
• For more specific information on 4-H / FFA entries, refer to the
Stanton County 4-H Fair book.
• All stalls and pens are free to exhibitors. Reservations must be made
through superintendents of the respective departments.
• Bedding must be removed from stalls before premiums will be paid.
Open class premiums will be paid Sunday at the fair office on
fairgrounds starting at 12 p.m.
Award programs for 4-H events will be held during each event and
awards announced following the Style Revue, which will be at 5:00 p.
m. on Sunday. Donors are encouraged to attend these events to be
recognized. Purple denotes 1st premium. Blue denotes 2nd premium.
Red denotes 3rd premium. Prizes limited to Stanton County Residents
only, unless otherwise listed.
• It shall be the duty of the Superintendents to be on the fairgrounds
entry day of the fair to assist in arranging exhibits for their classes.
• It shall be the duty of the Superintendents to give exhibitors such
information as they may ask, and provide impartial treatment.
• Department needs should be studied and reported to the President at
the close of the fair in order for needed improvements to be made.
• The Superintendents should never allow an article or animal into their
departments for competition purposes unless accompanied by an entry
tag upon it. They should be sure that every entry tag has a number on
it.
• If you find an error has been made in an exhibitor’s entry tag at any
time before you receive your judges book, you can find the exhibitor,
call his attention to the error and have him / her correct it if he / she so
desires. Or, if in your power, correct it yourself.
• After once receiving your judges’ books, never let them leave your
hands or allow any person other than yourself to see them. The books
should be signed by the judge and returned promptly to the fair office.
• Never directly or indirectly assist your judge in forming an opinion as
to an award.
• As soon as the judge has made the award, enter it in the judge’s
book, attach the premium card to the article receiving the award, tying
the card to the entry tag if possible and make sure that you are
attaching the card to the right article.
• Superintendents will attach premium tags as soon as judges have
rendered a decision.
• Refer all matters that may arise, not covered by these rules, to the
