Beer Garden at the Stanton County Fair

 

*PUBLIC INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN PEOPLE’S CHOICE JUDGING*

 

DIVISIONS - Beef, Pork, Poultry, Seafood, Other

NO team entry fee.

No pre-registration.

Gate charge - $ 10.00 person which is good for all day/night.

Season passes are honored.

Check-in time for teams – 11:00 a.m. to 12 Noon.

Beer Garden will be open at 10:00 a.m. to set-up grills/smokers.

Meat ready to serve – 1:00 p.m. (Instructions and designated times will be given

to each team by division around 12 noon.)

Each team will be designated a time to have meat ready. Should have public

sampling around every 15 minutes, depending on number of teams.

 

People’s Choice (the public) sampling – 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. (Each team will be

given an appointed time.)

People’s Choice (ballot process) judging by division starting at 3:00 p.m.

Awards – Around 4:00 p.m.

 

 

 

 

Each team will supply grill and/or smoker, meat, toothpicks, supplies, utensils,

etc.

Grills/smokers will be placed in the beer garden along fence.

Each team will furnish at least 10 lbs. of meat, more is optional to the team.

Garnishes/side dishes are allowed and encouraged, but not mandatory.

NEW THIS YEAR – New divisions - Beef, Pork, Poultry, Seafood, Other.

2 to 3 people per team, recommended.

Meat can be prepared any way of choice. (Grilled, smoked, marinated,

seasoned, unseasoned, etc.)

Meat will be cut into bite sized pieces and served on toothpicks for judging.

Each team will serve at least 7 lbs. of meat at the team’s designated time for

People’s Choice tasting.

Each team will serve at least 3 lbs. of meat to the People’s Choice judging

starting at 3:00 p.m. by division.

 

 

 

 

Beef Division – Sirloin, brisket, roast, etc.

Pork Division – Ribs, chops, loins, etc.

Poultry Division – Chicken, turkey legs, etc.

Seafood Division – Shrimp, fish, etc.

Other Division – Mutton, Wild game, etc.

 

 

 

Prize will be awarded in each division –

There will ONLY be a People’s Choice winner this year in each division.
